On Thursday, October 20th at Seaman High School in Topeka, KS hosted the Fall Rally from 10:00 AM through 2:00 PM. This was a great chance to meet Key Clubbers from all over the state! To kick start the rally there was an icebreaker and then everyone moved to the sitting area for announcements.
Keynote speaker, Barbara barnard
After the announcements Emily Stanley who is the governor of Kansas Key Club District Board introduced the keynote speaker, Barbara Barnard. Barbara Barnard is the vice president of the Topeka Community Bank. She spoke about leadership and the value of community service. At 11:00 everyone choose to go to either of the two provided workshops, which were Project Planning orOfficer Q & A. In these workshops students learned how to plan wisely and the importance of having responsible officers.
Tie Blankets for the hospital
At 11:45 the attendees broke for lunch, which is where they dinned on pizza. After this yummy treat the precipitants came together and did a fun service project: making tie blankets for the hospital! When the attendees were done with this project they came together at 1:15 p.m. and began their second round of workshops. This workshops were Membership Recruitment and Retention and Club Problem Solving.
